On 20 April 2026, XL anniversary meeting of the Conference of General Directors (Authorised Representatives) of the OSJD railways (CGD) began in Astana and will continue until 24 April.

2026 is a significant year for the Organisation for Cooperation between Railways (OSJD): it marks its 70th anniversary, whereas the documents that make up the basis of transport law in the OSJD region – the Agreement on International Passenger Traffic (SMPS)

Under the subject “Updating the Agreement on the Use of Freight Wagons in International Traffic” (PGW Agreement) and in accordance with the approved Work Plan of the OSJD Commission on Freight Traffic for 2026, an expert meeting of the Parties to the Agreement on the Use of Freight Wagons in International Traffic (PGW Agreement)
